ConnectalldevicestoEthernetandcontrolthembytheirownIPaddress.Theadvantage
ofthismethodis:youcanseetheVUmetersofallconnecteddevices.Thedisadvantage
ofthismethodis:everydeviceneedshisownEthernetconnectionandIPaddress.
ToconfigureyoursystemaccordingtoMethod2,proceedwiththefollowingprocedure:
1) ConnectthefirstdeviceofyoursetuptoyourEthernetnetwork
2) Settheaddressofthefirstdeviceto“M001”,thiscanbedoneinthe“Setup”
menu,under“AddressSettings”.
3) ChangetheIPaddressofthefirstdevicetoonewhichisavailableinyour
Ethernetnetwork(Forexample192.168.0.191).Thiscanbedoneinthe“Setup”
menu,under“NetworkSettings”.
4) DisconnectthefirstdeviceofyoursetupfromtheEthernetnetwork
5) ConnecttheseconddeviceofyoursetuptoyourEthernetnetwork
6) Settheaddressfortheseconddeviceto“M002”,thiscanbedoneinthe“Setup”
menu,under“AddressSettings”.
7) ChangetheIPaddressoftheseconddevicetoonewhichisavailableinyour
ethernetnetwork(Forexample192.168.0.192).Thiscanbedoneinthe“Setup”
menu,under“NetworkSettings”.MakesurethisIPaddressisdifferentfromthe
firstdevice’sIPaddress.
8) DisconnecttheseconddeviceofyoursetupfromtheEthernetnetwork
9) GiveallthedevicesinyoursetupanuniquebusandIPaddress.Thiscanbedone
byrepeatingstep5to8ofthisprocedure.Makesureeverydevicehasaunique
busandIPaddress.
10) Now,alldeviceshaveauniquebusandIPaddress,andnodeviceisconnected
totheEthernetnetwork.
11) ConnectalldevicestoyourEthernetnetwork
12) Connectthedeviceswitheachotherthroughfiberconductors,usingtheloop
principleasshowninFigure1.
13) Restartalldevices
14) Alldevicesshoulddisplaynow“FiberOK”ontopoftheirmainpage,nexttothe
connectionstatus.
