Chapter 7: Installing System Platform using
server console
Starting the installation
1. Turn on the server.
2. Perform one of the following tasks:
• Insert the System Platform DVD into the DVD-ROM drive.
• Connect the System Platform USB flash drive to the USB port.
The server boots up from the System Platform DVD or USB flash drive and displays
the Avaya screen.
Note:
If you are using a USB flash drive for installing System Platform, then you must
set the server to boot from the USB flash drive. See Formatting a USB drive topic
for information on changing the boot device.
