Support for Avaya RC100 as IP Camera for CU360 App
An Internet Protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera that receives control
data and sends image data or live video via an IP network. Some models can also be controlled
via standard protocols over IP, as ONVIF® (ONVIF is a trademark of ONVIF, Inc.).
IP cameras are commonly used for video-surveillance; most IP cameras can also be used as
webcams (cameras that you can select to send a live video from your computer), but the term IP
camera (or IP Webcam or Netcam) usually applies only to those devices that can be directly
accessed over a network connection, while plain webcams can also be connected to a computer
over USB.
In this release the CU360 App supports the Avaya RC100 connected via network using an
RTSP URL, up to 1080p30 video resolution, for live video.
As for any other IP Camera, supported video format is H.264.
To enable the RC100 as additional IP camera in the CU360 App, browse to
[GUI] CONFIGURE > ADVANCED > I/O CONNECTIONS> CAMERAS> IP
[WEB] [ADMIN LOGIN] ADMINISTRATOR SETTINGS> I/O CONNECTIONS> CAMERAS> IP
• Enable: Yes/No*
• URL: the format depends on the IP camera model, typically is
rtsp://[username:password@]camera_ip_address[:port]/filename.
For Avaya RC100, default username is admin, default password is empty:
rtsp://admin:@x.y.z.w/ch1
• Control Camera: Yes/No*
If Control Camera is enabled and the camera is compatible with the IP Control Protocol, the IP
camera can be Pan-Tilt-Zoomed using CU360 remote-control (or the Web/GUI interface) as usual.
You can also store/recall up to 64 presets.
You need to configure the proper parameters for the IP Control Protocol as shown below.
Default parameters for Avaya RC100 are below.
