15. Removal and installation of the projector covers
15.5 Removal o f the top cover plate of the Light Processor compartment
To access the top cover p late of the Light Processor com pa rtment the projector top cover has to be remo ved
first. This procedure assumes that the projector top cover is already removed .
CAUTION: O pening the Light Processor compartment by rem oving the top cover plate or side cover plate wi
ll
result in a tamper event. An authorization to clear the security w arning on the projector, after clo sing off the
Light Processor co mp artment, will be needed !
Necessary tools
Allen wrench 3 mm
How to remove the top cover plate from the Light Processor compartment?
1. Remove the four screws (reference 1 im age 15-6) at the top of the cover plate. Use a 3 m m Allen wr ench.

2. Remove the top c over plate as follows:
a) Grab the top cover plate by the two handles (reference 2 image 15-7) and slide it towards the front side (lens side) o f the
projector. All latches (reference 3 image 15-7) must become free.
b) Tilt the top cover plate as illustrated.
c) Move the top cover plate away from the projector.
