7.7 ICMP HDMI 2.0 specifications
HDMI
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a compac t audio/video interface for transferring uncompressed video
data and compressed/uncompressed digital audio data from a HDMI-com pliant device ("the sou rce device") to a com -
patible computer monitor, v ideo projector, digital television, or digital audio device. HDM I is a digital replacement for
existing analog video standards.
HDMI 2.0 specifications

Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are fully compliant with the HDMI 1.4, 1.4a, 1.4b, 2.0 and 2.0a revisions of the HDM I s pecific ation.
Full Ran ge and Limited R a nge Quantization a re supported for all specified formats.
BT.709 and DCI-P3 are supported for all forma ts. For HDR content ( UHD and 4K only) the BT.2020 color coding is supported.
All video s treams s hould have a progressive scan order, with the exception of 19 20x1080i 60 fps (interlaced scan).
HDCP
Both HDMI 2.0 inputs are HDCP 1.4 & HDCP 2.2 compliant.
HDR (SM PTE ST 2084)
HDR (High Dynamic Range) is supported on all UHD and 4K formats.
This includes SMPT E ST 2084 (static metadata) and BT.2020 color coding. R equires a license!
HDMI 2.0 Cable requirem ents
All HDMI cables should work with HDMI 2.0 receivers. There is no such thing as a “4K HDMI cable” even though this is sometimes
sold this way. But of course there are quality differences. The “ high-speed” ca bles w ould be preferred over the “s tandard-speed”
cables. T hey usually work at higher cable lengths than the standard-speed ones.
The “Pr emium Certified HDMI” cables are tested to work w ith high bandwidth as is the case
with 4K HDR content. These can be more exp ensive though. When using active and/or optical
cables you should verify if the integrated receiver and sender are HDMI certified to guarantee
to work compliant with the HDM I protocol. You can request the HD MI certificate to the manu-
facturer of the cable.
The ICMP is not supporting Ethernet-over-HDMI and such sp
ecific cables are thus not required.
