2.1 Connections
2.1.1 General Description
A500k area scan cameras are interfaced to external circuitry via
a 26 pin, 0.5“ Mini D Ribbon (MDR) connector to transmit configuration, trigger and image
data via Camera Link,
a microminiature push-pull lock type receptacle to provide power (12V) to the camera,
a microminiature push-pull lock type receptacle to provide a TTL signal for an external flash.
A504k/kc area scan cameras have two additional connectors:
a 15 pin HDSub receptacle for the VGA monitor output
a second 26 pin, 0.5“ Mini D Ribbon (MDR) connector to transmit further image data via
Camera Link.
The connectors are located on the back of the camera. Figure 2-1 shows the plugs and the status
LED which indicates signal integrity and power OK.
