Connectors and Pin Assignments
This appendix describes the BayStack 350 switch port connectors and pin
assignments.
RJ-45 (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX) Port Connectors
The RJ-45 port connectors (Figure D-1) are wired as MDI-X ports to connect end
stations without using crossover cables. (See
MDI and MDI-X Devices” on
page D-2
for information about MDI-X ports.) For 10BASE-T connections, use
Category 3 (or higher) UTP cable. For 100BASE-TX connections, use only
Category 5 UTP cable.
