Note: It is imperative that only one source of terrain cautions and warnings be enabled on the
airplane so as to avoid the potential for conflicting information to be presented to the
pilot. If an HTAWS system is installed but the AeroNav's internal TA and FLTA functions
are to be used for terrain avoidance, the HTAWS system must be fully disabled. If an
HTAWS system is to be used the caution and warning indications generated by the
HTAWS system can be displayed on a third party annunciator and the AeroNav's TA and
FLTA displays and audio must be inhibited.
AeroNav TA/FLTA is not an approved TSO-C194 HTAWS unit.
