Sewing preparation
Threading the upper thread
raise the needle and presser foot
turn power switch to «0» (off)
place foam pad on the spool pin
place spool on pin so that the thread unwinds clockwise
attach appropriate spool disc
Removing the needle
raise the needle
remove or lower presser foot (see page 24, 30)
turn power switch to «0» (off)
loosen the needle clamp screw 1 using the gray screwdriver
pull the needle down to remove
Inserting the needle
flat side of needle to the back
insert the needle as far as it will go
tighten needle clamp 1 using the gray screwdriver
Changing the needle
Appropriate spool disc
Diameter of thread spool determines disc size. There must be no
gap between the disc and the spool.
hold the thread and lead it from the bobbin along the direction of the arrow
into the rear guide 1
then into slit of upper thread tension 2
pull thread down to the right of the take-up cover and around 3
take thread up to the left of the cover and around 4, placing it in the take-up
lever
take thread down and through guides 5 and 6
thread the needle (see page 24)
