3.6.2 Storage
General
Information
Before and after placing the system into storage for an extended period of time, steps must be taken
to ensure proper functioning.
Storage for 1-6
Months
Before storing system for one to six months:
Before using equipment that has been stored for approximately three months:

Before storing system for six months or longer:
Before using equipment that has been stored for six months or longer:
Disposal If you do not intend to use the system again, please follow the disposal information on page 9.
Steps
1. Make sure that the UPS battery is fully charged.
2. Unplug all external cabling and store it together with the equipment.
3. Cover camera and monitors with protection covers.
4. Store equipment in a dry place with a temperature between 21°C (70°F) to 30°C (86°F).

1. Clean the equipment.
2. Fully recharge UPS battery.
3. Start system and verify correct function before using it for surgery.

1. Contact Brainlab support to remove the UPS Battery from the equipment.
2. Unplug all external cabling and store it together with the equipment.
3. Cover camera and monitors with protection covers.
4. Store equipment in a dry place with a temperature between 21°C (70°F) to 30°C (86°F).

2. Contact Brainlab support to install a new UPS battery.
3. Fully recharge UPS battery.
4. Perform a recurrent test to verify safety and effectiveness of equipment (offered by
Brainlab, see
Technical User Guide ).
5. Start system and verify correct function before using it for surgery.
