3.5.3 Draping Touchscreen
Touchscreen Drape The monitor is draped using the sterile Touchscreen Drape provided by Brainlab.
The drape allows you to intraoperatively access all software functions and position monitor during
surgery without compromising the sterile field.
Packaging The Touchscreen Drape is delivered sterile. Ensure that drape packaging does not have any holes
or tears.
Before use, check expiration date on drape packaging. If date has expired, do not use
drape but dispose it of.
Sterile Field
Maintaining the sterile field can only be guaranteed by using the Brainlab Touch-
screen Drape. Using other drapes may cause monitor to malfunction.
Carefully drape touchscreen. The drape maintains the surgeon's sterile field and pro-
vides a sterile barrier between patient and touchscreen.
Disposal
Dispose the Touchscreen Drape of after use.
