Information
• Use only the cleaning materials listed below.
• Inspect all lenses weekly and clean if necessary.
• Dust first to remove particles that might scratch the lens, then clean with a solvent.
• To clean the lens, press gently with a wet optical grade cloth.
Dusting Dust the lens with one of the following:
• Clean and dry compressed air (or preferably nitrogen, if available)
• An aerosol duster
• A photographic lens duster (brush)
Cleaning • Use a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol only (85% ethanol, 15% wood alcohol).
• Do not allow solvent to spill on the paint work.
• Never use water, soap, detergent or other fluids on the lens.
Always use a moist, clean, lint free cloth to clean the Polaris. Do not reuse the same
area of the cloth. Do not use any paper products on the lens. Paper products will
scratch lenses.
