TheDV3TRheometerprovidesapowerfulprogrammingcapabilityfordatacollection.Theinterface
inCongureViscosityTestallowsforcontrolofallinstrumentparametersincludingSpindle,Speed,
Temperature(optional),EndCondition,DataCollection,Instructions,Reports,Density,andQCLimits
(describedinthenextsectionsofthischapter).Anycollectionoftheseparametersisconsidereda
TestStep.TheDV3Tallowsyoutocreatemultiplestepstobetterevaluateyoursamplematerial.
SeveralparametersareonlyactiveintherststepincludingSpindleandInstructions.
MultiplestepsinaTestcanbeusefultoevaluatetherheologyofasampleortosimplyaidindata
collection.AmultistepTestthathasachangeinspeedineachstepcanshowNewtonianornon
Newtonianowbehavior.ArststepwithNoDatacanbeusefulwhenpreshearingisrequired.A
stepwithNoDatacanbeusefulwhenatemperaturechangeiseffectedandsometimeisrequired
forthermalequilibrium.
