TheRunningViscosityTestscreenprovidesinformationonthecurrentmeasurementincluding:
Torque,Viscosity,ShearStress,ShearRate,TemperatureandSpeed.
TorqueisthedeectionoftheRheometertorquesensor.Itisdescribedasapercent(%)andhas
arangeof0–100%.TheDV3Twillprovidemeasurementresultswithinthestatedaccuracy
providedtheTorquereadingisbetween10and100%.IftheTorquereadingfallsbelow10%the
labelsinthedataeldswillashtoindicateanerrorcondition.Brookelddoesnotrecommend
thatdatabecollectedbelow10%Torque;however,datacollectionisnotrestricted.
TIP: TorqueontheDV3TisequivalenttothedialreadingfromtheBrookeldDialReading
Viscometerorthe % readingfromBrookeld DigitalViscometers(DV-E, DV-I,
DV-II,DV-III).
ViscosityiscalculatedfromthemeasuredTorquebasedontheselectedspindleandspeedof
rotation.TheunitsofviscosityaredenedintheGlobalSettingssectionoftheSettingsMenu
.IftheTorquereadingfallsbelow10%,thelabelsinthedataeldswillashtoindicate
anerrorcondition.
Shear StressiscalculatedfromthemeasuredTorquebasedontheselectedspindle.Theunitsof
shearstressaredenedintheGlobalSettingssectionoftheSettingsMenu
.IftheTorque
