introducedin1989.BrookeldhascontinuedtodevelopandimprovetheDV-IIItoprovidethebest
valueinthemarketforbothqualitycontrolandresearchcustomers.TheBrookeldDV3TRheometer
continuesinthistraditionofinnovation,qualityandvalue.Theincorporationofafullcolorgraphical
touchscreendisplayhasallowedforanewandimproveduserinterfacewhichpreservesthesingle
speeddatacollectionmethodswhilemakingalloftheadvancedfeaturesoftheDV3Treadilyavailable.
TheBrookeldDV3TRheometermeasuresuidviscosityatgivenshearrates.Viscosityisameasure
ofauid’sresistancetoow.Youwillndadetaileddescriptionofthescienceofviscosityinthe

ThismanualcoverstheDV3TRheometerandtheDV3TExtraRheometer.TheDV3TExtraisaspecial
packagethatincludesseveraloptionalfeaturestomaximizetheutilityoftheDV3T.TheDV3TExtra
includes:BallBearingSuspension(notincludedinLVversions),EZ-Lockspindleconnection,Model
QLabStand,andRheocalcTSoftware.ThesedifferencesaredetailedintheComponentssectionof
themanual.AllreferencestotherheometerinthismanualwillbemadeasDV3T.Alloftheoptional
featuresoftheDV3TExtramaybeaddedindividuallytotheDV3TRheometer.
TheDV3Toffersexceptionalversatilityinmodesofcontrol,allowingchoiceoftraditionalstandalone
operationandautomaticoperationthroughprogramsdownloadedfromthePCorwithcompletecontrol
byPCusingBrookeldRheocalcTSoftware.
