6.1.6 Disassembly of Control Panel ASSY
(1) Place the control panel ASSY upside down.
(2) Pull the five "x" latches and remove the control panel PCB.
NOTE: Do not pull the control panel PCB away from the control panel ASSY since it is
connected to the monochrome LCD mounted on the control panel base with a short panel-
LCD flat cable.
(3) Disconnect the panel-LCD flat cable from the control panel PCB after releasing the
connector lock.
NOTE:
After disconnecting the flat cable(s), check that each cable is not damaged at its
end or short-circuited. When connecting the flat cable(s), do not insert it at an angle. After
insertion, check again that it is not at an angle.
(4) Remove the four rubber keypads.
(5) Remove the actuator rubber from the ink cartridge cover sensor actuator.
