3. Connect cables to frame and starter.
a. See
Figure 7-30. First, connect positive cable to
starter using nut with washer (metric). Tighten nut to
60-85 in-lbs (7-10 Nm).
b. See Figure 7-29. Attach negative cable to frame
below oil tank.
4. Apply light coat of petroleum jelly or corrosion-retardant
material to both battery terminals.
