Translation of the Original Operating Manual
1. Before starting the mixer, check for any foreign objects inside the mixing hopper. Remove any
foreign objects from the mixing hopper if necessary.
2. Close any open dosing gates if necessary (see chapter “Operating elements and controls”,
page 52).
3. Dismiss all persons from the loading area of the machine.
4. Start the mixing process (see chapter “Starting and ending the mixing process”, page 63).
5. Fill the mixing hopper using a tractor with front loader or a wheel loader.
6.3.1 Recommended order during filling
1. With the mixing auger under power, start by filling the mixing hopper with highly structured
components (hay, straw, etc.) and wait for a few moments before filling in the next component.
2. Add grass silage.
3. Add concentrated feed, grain feed, etc.
4. Fill mineral feed into the mixing hopper.
5. Add maize silage and grain silage to the mixing hopper.
6. Add feed components with a high water content, e. g. brewer's grains, potato pulp or sugar beet
pulp.
7. Add liquid components such as liquid yeast or molasses through the filling funnel used for mineral
feed (special equipment).
