7 Cleaning, maintenance and repairs
When cleaning, servicing and repairing the equipment, observe the information provided in
the following chapters:
"Responsibilities of the operator", on page 11,
"Qualification of the personnel", on page 12,
"General safety instructions", starting on page 16,
"Warnings and instructions", starting on page 20.
Observe these chapters for your own safety.
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting, amputation, entrapment,
winding up, entanglement, catching, and impact may arise if the machine is started
inadvertently.
Secure the machine against inadvertent start-up (secure the main switch with a pad-
lock) before working on the machine.
Wait until the machine has come to a complete stop before entering the danger area
Risks of personal injury from crushing, shearing, cutting, amputation, entrapment,
winding up, entanglement, and catching may arise if hazard areas are unprotected!
Assemble the guards which have been removed for cleaning, maintenance, and repair
of the machine.
Replace defective guards immediately.
Dangerous situations may arise if load-bearing parts break as a result of mechanical
work performed on sections of the frame!
The following is prohibited as a general rule:
drilling on the frame.
drilling out holes already existing on the frame.
welding on load-bearing parts.
