6.4 Discharging fodder
Risks to man and animals from impact may arise if objects are flung out of the door or from
the conveyor belt (optional) when the mixing auger is under power.
Keep all persons away from the danger area of the door and/or the conveyor belt be-
fore opening the dosing gate.
Keep animals away from the danger area.
You define the quantity of the discharged fodder by adjusting the opening width of the
dosing gate.
The wider the opening width of the dosing gate, the greater the discharged fodder
quantity.
When discharging dry, long and highly structured fodder, you need to open the dosing
gate all the way.
Highly flowable fodder requires that you open the dosing gate in accordance with the
desired discharge quantity.
Dosing gate 1 opens and closes automatically when operating in “Deliver” mode. Every
additional dosing gate - if present - must be opened manually.
When operating in “Deliver” mode, conveyor belt 1 will start on its own after dosing gate
1 has opened.
