10. CONNECTIVITY, RECEIVING WORK LISTS AND
TRANSMITTING ECG EXAMS
10.1. General
ECG100+/ECG200+/ECG100S/ECG200S electrocardiographs are all equipped with a USB port and they can be
optionally equipped with:
LAN socket;
WLAN (WiFi) module.
Moreover they can be configured with different communication options:
USB connectivity (always included)
Standard Network connectivity (available for devices with LAN or WLAN)
DICOM connectivity (available for devices with LAN or WLAN) only ECG100+/ECG200+.
10.1.1. Configuring LAN connectivity
In case only the LAN option is enabled, the transmission can take place connecting a LAN cable between the
connector on the device and a LAN socket based.
The connection parameters for LAN connectivity must be configured correctly, as indicated in Par.8.6.6.
In particular, if the DHCP is set at “No”, the LAN access point will have a static network setting and the
following parameters must be configured in the electrocardiograph:
IP address
Subnet Mask
Gateway
If the DHCP option is set at “Yes”, its LAN access point will have an automatic network setting and the IP
address, Subnet Mask and Gateway parameters do not necessarily need to be configured.
In both cases, the Connection String parameter (essential for transmission) must be supplied by the network
provider.
The LAN connector has two small LED's to assess the status of the connection and of the data
transmission/reception. The left LED on the connector remains on when the network signal is detected
(device connected), while the right LED flashes when data packs are transmitted or received or traffic is
identified on the network. If neither of the two LED's is on, it means there are problems with connection (see
Par. 12.7).
