10. CONNECTIVITY, RECEIVING WORK LISTS AND TRANSMITTING ECG EXAMS
10.3. Standard Network connectivity (LAN)
If the device is equipped with WiFi and/or LAN, the electrocardiograph can transmit ECG traces via the
network to an external Cardioline ECGWebApp archive system (as described in Par. 7.5).
It is also possible to download work lists as described in Par. 8.2. The work lists must be constructed based
on DICOM attributes conform to the Modality Worklist Information Model of DICOM PS 3.4, Annex K.6.1.2.
For correct transmission, the connection parameters must be configured correctly, as indicated in Par. 8.6.5.
10.4. DICOM connectivity (LAN / WLAN) only ECG100+/ECG200+
If the electrocardiograph is supplied with the DICOM option and is equipped with the LAN or WLAN module,,
it can be connected to a DICOM system to store ECG examinations and to create work lists.
To be able to connect to the server, just set the LAN/WLAN connectivity parameters as described in Par.
10.3.
This will make it possible to transmit acquired ECG tracings (as described in Par. 7.5) and to download work
lists (as described in Par. 8.2).
It’s possible to choose whether to connect directly to the PACS system or to use an external gateway
(Cardioline Gateway).
In the first case, the electrocardiographs sends exams to and receives worklists directly from a PACS system
that is connected to its same network. In the second case exams and worklists have to pass through a
software gateway, installed on a computer, before reaching the PACS system and the electrocardiograph
respectively.
For a direct connection with the PACS set the “External DICOM” settings to “No”, for a connection through a
gateway set the “External DICOM” settings to “Yes” (see par. 8.6.5).
If External DICOM is set to “No”, the following settings must be configured:
MWL Addres: address of the server for receiving DICOM worklists (DICOM Modality WorkList).
STORE Address: address of the server for the transmission of DICOM exams (DICOM Storage).
Local AE Title: IP address or host server name.
If External DICOM is set to “Yes”, the following settings must be configured:
Username: user name for network connection.
Password: password for network connection.
Connection String: IP address or host server name.
The DICOM protocol structure used is described in the DICOM Conformance Statement attached to the
documents accompanying the device.
