BLEEDINGAIRFROMTHEHYDRAULICCOMPONENTS
NOTE:Afterbleedingairfromthecomponents,stopthe
engineforveminutesandchecktherearenobubblesat
thesurfaceofthehydraulicuidinthereservoir.
Hydraulicpump
Usingasolvent,cleantheperipheryoftheairbleedplug.
Loosentheairbleedplug,removetheplugiftheuiddoes
notow.
Fillthepumpwithnewcleanhydraulicuid.Installand
tightentheairbleedplug.
Starttheengineandrunitatlowidlespeed.Loosenthe
airbleedplugonthepump.Tightentheplugwhenairfree
uidcomesoutofthebleedplughole.Cleanthearea
completely.

Swingreductiongear
Starttheengineandrunitatlowidlespeed.Loosenthe
airbleedplugandmakesurehydraulicuidrunsout.If
necessary,stoptheengineandaddoilviatheorice.In-
stalltheplugwithouttightening,thenstarttheengineand
runitatlowidlespeed,leavingittorununtiloilbeginsto
runfromtheorice.Tightentheairbleedplugcompletely.
Swingtheupperstructureatleasttwicecompletelytothe
rightandtwicecompletelytotheleft.
Aftercompletebleeding,stoptheengineforveminutes
thencheckthattherearenoairbubblesinthehydraulic
reservoir.
Attachmentcylinders
Starttheengineandrunitatlowidlespeed.Extendand
retracttheattachmentcylinderrodsfourorvetimeswith-
outbringingthemtoendofstroke.Thenrepeattheop-
erationthreeorfourtimes,thistimebringingthecylinder
rodstoendofstroke.
