3. Place an appropriately sized, coated stir bar into vessel.
WARNING
Always use a coated stir bar that adequately mixes the reaction contents in the microwave.
4. Weigh and place the sample into the vessel. The maximum sample weight varies per sample type. A vessel
weighing stand is provided.
NOTE
The vessel weighing stand is used for weighing sample.
The magnetic stand is used to prevent the removal of the coated stir bar when pouring the
digested sample from the vessel.
5. Add the acid (4 mL - 25 mL working volume). Use the acid to rinse the inside of the TFM Liner to ensure that
the sample is at the bottom.
6. Ensure that the acid covers the sample and the base of the vessel.
7. Assemble the cap and septa and place onto the vessel.
