Tempest®2400 2-Channel Wireless Intercom System 61
1- Rubberized Access Cover
The Rubberized Access Cover helps prevent dust, dirt and liquid from entering the BeltStaon
through the USB or the BeltStaon pairing connector. Keep this cover securely closed at all mes
to ensure the best possible seal.
2- USB Mini B Connector
The USB Connector is used to charge the BeltStaon with the supplied wall charger. In addion,
the USB connect is used to update the rmware of the BeltStaon.
3- BeltStaon Pairing Connector
The BeltStaon Pairing Connector is used to pair the BeltStaon with BaseStaons using the
supplied 1/8” stereo mini connector.
1- Belt Clip
The Belt Clip enables the BeltStaon to be worn on the users belt or other clothing
item.
2- Power ON/OFF Buon
The Power ON/OFF buon is used to turn the BeltStaon on or o. Press and hold
the Power ON/OFF buon for two seconds to turn the BeltStaon ON. Press for four
seconds to turn the BeltStaon OFF.
3- Baery Compartment
The Baery Compartment holds either one Tempest Lithium-Polymer rechargeable
baery or (3) standard alkaline AA cells. To remove the baery door, press down on
the thumb markings and pull the baery door toward the boom of the BeltStaon.
To remove baeries from the baery compartment turn the BeltStaon baery side
down and tap the boom of the BeltStaon on the palm of your other hand. Please
be careful to insert alkaline AA baeries according to the marked polarity. All of the
alkaline AA cells face the same direcon. If the baery cover does not t or close
properly, the baery may not be inserted correctly.
4- Headset Connector
The 4-PIN XLR male headset connector mates with most Dynamic or Electret headsets that have 4-PIN XLR female connectors.
This Headset connector allows a user to communicate in “Dual-listen” or “Single-listen” mode on either intercom channel.
The mic detect circuit (dynamic/electret) will indicate dynamic when it sees a load of 600Ω or less. It will indicate an
electret when it sees 1kΩ or greater. Between 600Ω and 1kΩ is not recommended as it may not accurately detect mic type.
If they are using dynamic mics, they should short the input to ground. If they are using electret mics they should open the
circuit. This will keep the belt from switching back and forth between modes.
