WARNING
An electric vehicle emits very little noise
when it is in operation, both when stationary
and when driving. This means that other road
users and pedestrians (including children)
may not hear or notice it, or only with dii-
culty. This can lead to accidents and injuries,
e.g. in residential areas, when manoeuvring
or reversing.
Disconnecting the drive system
It is possible to switch o the vehicle ignition
without pressing the start button.
1. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop
›››page197. If the Auto-Hold function
is not active, tap P on the gear selector
›››page198.
The vehicle is still ready to be driven.
2. Exit the vehicle (without pressing the start
button).
Before leaving the vehicle, make sure that
it is stopped correctly.
The vehicle is switched o by automatic
driver detection
3. Activate door locking. The Digital Cockpit
switches o.
WARNING
When leaving the vehicle, always ensure that
the electronic parking brake is applied (the
red control lamp must be lit on the instru-
ment cluster) and that all doors, windows,
rear lid and front bonnet are fully closed and
locked. Also ensure that the vehicle has fully
stopped.
Never leave the vehicle with the
drive system connected
If after stopping the vehicle you leave it with
the drive system switched on and a gear selec-
ted, the ignition and drive system switch o
automatically under certain conditions.
This protects the vehicle against unauthorised
use.
The electronic parking brake is applied auto-
matically ›››page198.
If you then wish to continue driving, you have
to turn the ignition on again ›››page150, e.g.
by depressing the brake pedal, along with the
drive system ›››page151. If necessary, follow
the instructions in the Digital Cockpit.
Automatic operation of the side light
If the dipped beam is switched on when the ig-
nition switches o automatically, the side light
will turn on until the vehicle is locked, or for a
maximum of approx. 15 minutes.
WARNING
When leaving the vehicle, always ensure that
the electronic parking brake is applied and
that all doors, windows, rear lid and front
bonnet are fully closed and locked.
Electronic immobilizer
The electronic immobiliser helps to prevent
the drive system from being connected with
an unauthorised key and, consequently, the
vehicle being put in motion.
The vehicle key has an integrated chip which
automatically deactivates the electronic im-
mobiliser if there is a valid key inside the vehi-
cle interior.
The electronic immobiliser is automatically ac-
tivated when there is no longer a valid key in-
side the vehicle.
For this reason, the vehicle's drive system can
only be connected with a correctly coded
Original CUPRA key. This type of key can be
purchased from a specialised CUPRA dealer or
any SEAT network dealer.
