Fit a new wiper blade of the same length
and design on to the wiper arm and hook it
into place.

Rest the wiper arms back onto the wind-
screen.

Separate the wiper arm from the rear win-

Insert a new blade of the same length and
type in the rear wiper arm in the opposite di-
rection to the arrow

Fold the wiper arm and rest it on the window.
WARNING
Worn or dirty windscreen wiper blades re-
duce visibility and increase the risk of acci-
dent and serious injury.
●
Always replace damaged or worn wind-
screen wiper blades or blades that no longer
clean the windscreen properly.
NOTICE
●
Damaged or dirty windscreen wipers could
scratch the glass.
●
If products containing solvents, rough
sponges or sharp objects are used to clean
the blades, the graphite layer will be dam-
aged.
●
Never use fuel, nail varnish remover, paint
thinner or similar products to clean the win-
dows.
●
In icy conditions, always check that the
wiper blades are not frozen to the glass be-
fore using the wipers. In cold weather, it may
help to leave the vehicle parked with the wip-
ers in service position ›››page287.
NOTICE
●
To prevent damage to the bonnet and the
wiper arms, only fold them when in the serv-
ice position.
●
Before driving, always lower the wiper
arms.
Jump start
Introduction
Due to technical reasons, tow starting the vehi-
cle is not allowed.
If the drive system cannot be switched on be-
cause the 12volt battery is discharged, the 12-
volt battery of another vehicle can be used for
this purpose.
Suitable jump leads are required for the jump
start.
The cross section of jump leads for vehicles
with electric drive systems must be a minimum
of 25 mm
2
.
NOTICE
To avoid considerable damage to the vehicle
electrical system, take careful note of the fol-
lowing:

If the jump leads are connected incor-
rectly, a short circuit may occur.
●
Use only jump leads with fully insulated
clamps.
●
Do not allow the vehicles to come into con-
tact with each other, otherwise current may
start to ow as soon as the positive poles are
connected.
