Get all occupants out of the vehicle and
keep them out of the danger zone (e.g. behind
the guard rail).

Always observe the above steps and pro-
tect yourself and other road users.

If you change the wheel on a slope, block
the wheel on the opposite side of the car
with a stone or similar to prevent the vehicle
from moving.

Depending on the type of wheel, to access the
wheel nuts it is rst necessary to remove the
central trim.
Removing
Follow the sequence below to extract the trim:
1. Pull on the trim’s rst clip

using the
hook from the vehicle tool kit ›››Fig.170.
2. Follow the sequence

to remove the
remaining clips.
Fitting
1. Put the trim in place so that the clips match
up with their housings on the wheel.
2. Fit the trim without using any tools, if pos-
sible, by pushing against the centre of the
part until it is heard to t in place.

Removal

Fit the plastic clip (vehicle tools ›››Fig.170)
over the cap until it clicks into place
›››Fig.193.

Remove the cap with the plastic clip.
The caps protect the wheel nuts and should be
remounted after changing the tyre.
The anti-theft wheel locking bolt has a spe-
cial cap. This only ts on anti-theft locking
bolts and is not for use with standard wheel
nuts.
