16. TROUBLESHOOTING
16.1 Troubleshooting for Labeler
Problem Possible Cause Suggested Solution
1. Incomplete label dispensing causes
backing paper to be pulled by the
container.
*This may make labeling unstable or
unavailable.
a. Improper label sensor adjustment
b. Label sensitivity setting value too
high.
c. Transparent label is applied.
a. Remove the label in the label sensor
slot; and then press F1 (AUTO ADJ).
b. Refer to "chapter 11 Label Sensor
Adjustment"
c. Use special sensor
2. Inconstant label extension causes
incorrect labeling position.
a. The backing paper between label
sensor and label peel blade is loose.
b. The backing paper between label
sensor and peel blade is too tight.
c. Advanced roller lock is unfastened.
d. Insufficient label extension length
e. Various gaps between every two
labels
f. Various clearances between label
edge and backing paper edge,
causing various labeling start
points.
g. Too low label dispensing speed is
unable to synchronize with
conveyor.
h. The connection screw between
roller guide and stepper motor is
loose.
a. Tighten the screw on the web
clamp.
b. Loose the screw on the web clamp.
c. Fasten the roller lock.
d. Adjust label extension to 3mm.
e. Ask supplier for help.
f. Ask supplier for help.
g. Increase label dispensing speed.
h. Tighten the screw.
3. No label dispensed a. Label head is off
b. Label sensor malfunction
c. Improper product sensor adjustment
d. Product sensor malfunction
a. Check LCD control panel.
b. If the sensor LED is not on,
indicating the sensor malfunctions.
If the LED light is on, place backing
paper in the sensor slot to check the
backing paper value. If the value
shown on the screen is not
changed, indicating the sensor
malfunctions, replaces the label
sensor.
c. Refer to chapter 11 Product Sensor
Adjustment.
d. Check and make sure LD5 indicator
(product sensor lamp) on the
master board is on. It should be
always ON whenever power on; and
always OFF while labeling.
