3. Complete the fields in the page (see Table 4-4).

Field Description
Route Name Enter a unique name for this static route. The name should allow you to easily identify this static
route from others you may add.
Active Activates or deactivates the status route. Choices are:
• Checked = activate static route.
• Unchecked = deactivate static route.
Private Designates the static route as private. Choices are:
• Checked = static route is private.
• Unchecked = static route is not private.
Destination IP Address Enter the IP address of the static route’s destination.
IP Subnet Mask Enter the subnet mask of the static route.
Interface Select the wireless controller interface that will interface to the static route. Choices are:
• Option = the wireless controller’s Option port will interface to the static route.
• LAN > VLAN = the wireless controller’s LAN or VLAN port will interface to the static route.
Gateway IP Address Enter the IP address of the gateway router, which is the next hop address for the wireless
controller.
Metric Enter the administrative distance of the route.
