show ssh server
Purpose
Used to display the SSH server setting.
Syntax show ssh server
Description
This command allows users to display the current SSH server setting.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
None.
Usage example:
To display the SSH server:
DES-3528:admin# show ssh server
Command: show ssh server
The SSH Server Configuration
Max Session : 8
Connection Timeout : 120
Authfail Attempts : 2
Tcp Port Number : 22
Rekey Timeout : Never
DES-3528:admin#
config ssh user
Purpose
Used to configure the SSH user.
Syntax config ssh user <username 15> authmode [hostbased [hostname <domain_name 32> |
hostname_IP <domain_name 32> [<ipaddr> | <ipv6addr>]] | password | publickey]
Description
This command allows users to configure the SSH user authentication method.
Parameters
<username 15> − Enter a username of no more than 15 characters to identify the SSH user.
authmode – Specifies the authentication mode of the SSH user wishing to log on to the
Switch. The administrator may choose between:
hostbased – This parameter should be chosen if the user wishes to use a remote SSH
server for authentication purposes. Choosing this parameter requires the user to input
the following information to identify the SSH user.
• hostname <domain_name 32> − Enter an alphanumeric string of up to 32
characters identifying the remote SSH user.
• hostname_IP <domain_name 32> [<ipaddr> | <ipv6addr>] − Enter the
hostname and the corresponding IP address of the SSH user.
password – This parameter should be chosen to use an administrator defined password for
authentication.
publickey – This parameter should be chosen to use the publickey on a SSH server for
authentication.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To configure the SSH user:
DES-3528:admin# config ssh user Trinity authmode password
Command: config ssh user Trinity authmode password
Success.
DES-3528:admin#
