show ssh authmode
Purpose
Used to display the SSH authentication mode setting.
Syntax show ssh authmode
Description
This command will allow users to display the current SSH authentication setting on the
Switch.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
None.
Example usage:
To view the current authentication mode set on the Switch:
config ssh server
Purpose
Used to configure the SSH server.
Syntax config ssh server {maxsession <int 1-8> | contimeout <sec 30-600> | authfail<int 2-20>
| rekey [10min | 30min | 60min | never] | port <tcp_port_number 1-65535>}(1)
Description
This command allows users to configure the SSH server.
Parameters
maxsession <int 1-8> − Allows the user to set the number of users that may simultaneously
access the Switch. The default setting is 8.
contimeout <sec 30-600> − Allows the user to set the connection timeout. The user may set
a time between 30 and 600 seconds. The default is 120 seconds.
authfail <int 2-20> − Allows the administrator to set the maximum number of attempts that a
user may try to logon utilizing SSH authentication. After the maximum number of attempts is
exceeded, the Switch will be disconnected and the user must reconnect to the Switch to
attempt another login.
rekey [10min | 30min | 60min | never] − Sets the time period that the Switch will change the
security shell encryptions.
tcp_port_number 1-65535 – Specifies the TCP port used to communicate between SSH
client and server. The default value is 22.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator and Power-User-level users can issue this command.
