clear counters
Purpose
Used to clear the Switch’s statistics counters.
Syntax clear counters {ports <portlist>}
Description
This command will clear the counters used by the Switch to compile statistics.
Parameters
<portlist> − Specifies a port or range of ports to be cleared.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To clear the counters:
DES-3528:admin# clear counters ports 2-9
Command: clear counters ports 2-9
Success.
clear log
Purpose
Used to clear the Switch’s history log.
Syntax clear log
Description
This command will clear the Switch’s history log.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
Only Administrator and Operator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To clear the log information:
DES-3528:admin# clear log
Command: clear log
Success.
