create syslog host
Purpose
Used to create a new syslog host.
Syntax create syslog host <index 1-4> ipaddress [<ipaddr> | <ipv6addr>] {severity
[emergency | alert | critical | error | warning | notice | informational | debug | <level 0-
7>] | facility [local0 | local1 | local2 | local3 | local4 | local5 | local6 | local7] | udp_port
<udp_port_number> | state [enable | disable]}
Description
This command is used to create a new syslog host.
Parameters
<index 1-4> − Specifies that the command will be applied to an index of hosts. There are four
available indexes, numbered 1 through 4.
ipaddress <ipaddr> − Specifies the IP address of the remote host where syslog messages
will be sent.
<ipv6addr> - Specifies the IPv6 address used.
udp_port <udp_port_number> - Specifies the UDP port number used.
state [enable | disable] – Specifies the state of the Syslog host.
severity − Severity level indicator. These are described in the following:
Bold font indicates that the corresponding severity level is currently supported on the Switch.

0 Emergency: system is unusable
1 Alert: action must be taken immediately
2 Critical: critical conditions
3 Error: error conditions
4 Warning: warning conditions
5 Notice: normal but significant condition
6 Informational: informational messages
7 Debug: debug-level messages
facility − Some of the operating system daemons and processes have been assigned Facility
values. Processes and daemons that have not been explicitly assigned a Facility may use
any of the "local use" facilities or they may use the "user-level" Facility. Those Facilities that
have been designated are shown in the following: Bold font indicates the facility values the
Switch currently supports.
