3. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the front PERC with the bracket.
4. Lift the front PERC away from the bracket.

Installing the rear mounting front PERC module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system.
3. Remove the drive backplane cover.
4. If installed, remove the air shroud.
5. Remove the drive backplane.
6. Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Steps
1. Align the slots on the front PERC with the holes on the PERC bracket.
2. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, replace the four screws to secure the front PERC to the bracket.
3. Align the connectors on the front PERC module with the connectors on the drive backplane.
4. Slide the front PERC module until the module is connected to the drive backplane.
5. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the front PERC module.
