Basic Operation
Playing the input source

Select the input source to be played.
Example: CD
(Main unit) (Remote control unit) (Remote control unit)
To select the input source when ZONE2 SELECT,
ZONE3/REC SELECT or TUNING PRESET is selected,
press the SOURCE button on the main unit then operate
the input function selector.

Start playback on the selected component.
For operating instructions, refer to the component’s
manual.

Adjust the volume.
The volume can be adjusted within the range of –80 to
+18 dB, in steps of 0.5 dB. However, when the
channel level is set ( page 64, 65 or 116 ~ 118), if
the volume for any channel is set at +0.5 dB or greater,
the volume cannot be adjusted up to 18 dB. (In this
case the maximum volume adjustment range is “18 dB
— (Maximum value of channel level)”.)

The volume level is displayed on the master volume
level display.

Example: THX Surround EX
Press the SURROUND button, then press the HOME
THX CINEMA
button.
