Recommended separaon distances between
Portable and mobile RF communicaons equipment and the Scanmate Flex
The Scanmate Flex is intended for use in an electromagnec environment in which radiated RF
disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the Scanmate Flex can help prevent
electromagnec interference by maintaining a minimum distance between portable and mobile RF
communicaons equipment (transmiers) and the Scanmate Flex as recommended below, according to
the maximum output power of the communicaons equipment.
Separaon distance according to frequency of transmier
in meters (m)
Rated maximum output
power of transmier
in Was (W)
150 kHz to 80 MHz 80 MHz to 800 MHz 800 MHz to 2.5 GHz
0.01 0.1166 0.1166 0.2333
0.1 0.3689 0.3689 0.7378
1 1.1666 1.1666 2.3333
10 3.6893 3.6893 7.3786
100 11.6666 11.6666 23.3333
For transmiers rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended separaon
distance d in meters (m) can be esmated using the equaon applicable to the frequency of the
transmier, where P is the maximum output power rang of the transmier in was (W) according to the
transmier manufacturer.
NOTE 1 At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separaon distance for the higher frequency range applies
NOTE 2 These guidelines may not apply in all situaons. Electromagnec propagaon is aected by
absorpon and reecon from structures, objects and people.
NOTE 3 Values used for calculaons above are V1 = 3 Vrms (150 kHz to 80 MHz) , E1 = 3 V/m (80 MHz
to 800 MHz), E1 = 3 V/m (800 MHz to 2.5 GHz).

GUIDANCE AND MANUFACTURERS DECLARATION
ELECTROMAGNETIC EMISSIONS
The Scanmate Flex is intended for use in the electromagnec environment specied below. The customer
or the user of the Scanmate Flex should assure that it is used in such an environment.
Emissions Test Compliance Electromagnec environment – guidance
Radiated Emissions , Class A
CISPR 11
Complies
The Scanmate Flex uses RF energy only for its
internal funcon. Therefore, its RF emissions are
very low and are not likely to cause any
interference in nearby electronic equipment.
