16. Changing Batteries
Please observe the following instructions when changing batteries to avoid damaging the device.
16.1 Changing the Batteries
WARNING: Use only Alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries.
16.1.1 Open the battery door to gain access to the batteries.
16.1.2 Remove the discharged batteries and install new batteries following the orientation
shown in the battery compartment.
16.1.3 Power up the unit by pressing the PWR key. You
will be prompted to identify the type of batteries
used. Select the appropriate type.
• You will receive a message indicating that the
time and date must be reset. (See section 13.4.5)
