M5-9 Speed limit action ramp time “SpLimTim
This parameter is active only if torque mode is selected (“M3-2T Control Mode “Spd/Torq”” = 1, 2 or 3) in traction control
and M5-8 Speed limit tolerance SpLimTol”” is set greater than zero.
It sets the time taken for speed limitation to become active when the speed reaches the limitation.
To have a good drive feeling it is suggested to set this parameter between 1.0s and 2.0s. Too large values make the speed
limitation unstable and provoking overshoots. Too small values make speed limitation fast but more aggressive.
Parameters for Field weakening” operation
M5-10 Extra field weakening level referred to the ideal flux at maximum speed “FWextra”
This parameter is calculated by autotuning and should not be modified.

M5-12 Torque Reduction Map in field weakening range point 1 TReduc1
M5-13 Torque Reduction Map in field weakening range point 2 TReduc2
M5-14 Torque Reduction Map in field weakening range point 3 TReduc3
M5-15 Torque Reduction Map in field weakening range point 4 TReduc4
M5-16 Torque Reduction Map in field weakening range point 5 TReduc5
These settings from define the motor control torque current limiting map and they correspond to the motor reduction
current map in field weakening.
Since the PMS motor field weakening capability is limited, in order to achieve a wide speed range a torque current
limitation map is introduced with the name of motor torque current reduction map.. It is automatically calculated at the
end of autotuning and the settings are available in “Motor Setup Menu” (see figure below). It is also adjusted every time
a recalculation is selected after one of the settings indicated with the * in the Autotuning Menu is changed.
If the M4-13 Maximum Motor Frequency is set higher than the maximum frequency achievable without field weakening,
it is automatically reduced.
The performance table is designed to exploit the maximum torque capability of the motor in the field weakening range,
assuring a stable driving and a good efficiency. In most of the cases it doesn’t need a tuning. It is not good to increase the
value of the map points since more current would flow in the motor without increasing the output torque, thus the
efficiency would drop.
If the motor shows unstable conditions at high frequency or low efficiency it is possible to reduce the settings 5.10 to 5.14

VERY IMPORTANT
never increase the values of these settings, just reduce only if necessary.
M5-17 Capacitor Voltage ramp Time CapVTime
This parameter is calculated by autotuning and should not be modified.
M5-18 Voltage Limiter Filter Frequency FVlimFlt
This parameter is calculated by autotuning and should not be modified.
