TEST ACTION APPLICABILITY
8 Remove the Passenger Window Down Relay.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the Passenger Window Down
Relay Ground circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
All
Yes → Replace the Relay.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No → Repair the Passenger Window Relay Ground for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
9 Remove the Passenger Window Down Relay.
Disconnect the Passenger Window Motor connector.
Measure the resistance of thePassenger WindowDown Relay Output circuit between
the Relay connector and the Window Motor connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
All
Yes → Go To 10
No → Repair the Passenger Window Down Relay Output wire for an
open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
10 Remove the Passenger Window Down Relay.
Measure the voltage of the Fused B+ circuit in the Passenger Window Down Relay
connector.
Is the voltage above 10.0 volts?
All
Yes → Replace the Relay.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No → Repair the Fused B+ circuit for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
11 Remove the Passenger Window Up Relay.
Using a 12-volt test light connected to 12-volts, check the Passenger Window Up
Relay Ground circuit.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
All
Yes → Replace the Passenger Window Up Relay.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
No → Repair the Passenger Window Relay Ground for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
12 Remove the Passenger Window Up Relay.
Disconnect the Passenger Window Motor connector.
Measure the resistance of the Passenger Window Up Relay Output circuit between
the Relay connector and the Window Motor connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
All
Yes → Go To 13
No → Repair the Passenger Window Up Relay Output wire for an open.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
