10 Anesthetic gas receiving sys-
tem
Used for suctioning and scavenging excess
anesthetic gas and breathing gas. Used to
reduce the anesthetic gas concentration
released into the environment by the anes-
thesia machine, and to scavenge the sam-
ple gases from an anesthetic gas monitor.
11 Gas mixing unit Produces a gas mixture from the selected
gases (e.g., O
2 and Air).
12 External fresh-gas outlet Gas outlet for a mixture of fresh gas and
anesthetic gas which is fed to a non-
rebreathing system.
13 Rail Used for fastening additional components.
