Alarm Validation
The alarm validation feature minimizes nuisance alarms for tran-
sient conditions. When a parameter value falls below or rises
above its current alarm limits, the monitor waits a predetermined
time before triggering the alarm. If the parameter value returns to
within the upper or lower alarm limit before the end of the alarm
validation period, the monitor does not trigger the alarm.
The alarm validation period is part of the software (see table
below) and cannot be modified. The monitor triggers the alarm at
the end of the validation period. Parameters have the following
alarm validation periods:
