The cable used in the system shall comply with the following parameters:
- loop resistance R

15 Ohms/km to 150 Ohms/km,
- loop inductance L

0,4 mH/km to 1 mH/km,
- capacitance C
C
45 nF/km to 200 nF/km,
- maximum length of each spur cable 60 m in IIC and IIB,
- maximum length of each trunk cable, including the length of all spurs,
1 km in IIC and 5 km in IIB
All intrinsically safe wiring shall be kept separate from non-
intrinsically safe wiring. Refer to Article 504 of the National Electrical Code.
Notes
1. FISCO power supply must be installed as instructed by the
Manufacturer´s Control Drawing.
2. Selected FISCO power supply shall be intrinsically safe outputs for
Class I, Div. 1, Groups A-D, Class II, Div. 1, Groups E-G.
3. The circuits are limited to overvoltage category I/II/III (non mains/mains circuits)
as defined in IEC 60664-1.
4. This apparatus is suitable for use in a FISCO system in accordance to IEC 60079-25.
