Commissioning of the instrument
7 Commissioning of the instrument
1. Switch power supply on.
The display shows that the sensor will be ready for measurement in
hh:mm:ss (countdown) and the instrument transmits the maintenance signal.
The fault relay is activated.
The instrument will go through a start-up sequence (LCD / LED test, software
version, and initialization) and start the warm-up period.
The maintenance signal on the 4-20mA interface remains pending until the
sensor is warmed-up.
Maximum warm-up time of a new sensor: see the Instructions for Use for the
sensor. For Oxygen: EN 50104 approvals.
After the warm-up period, the instrument goes into normal operation. The
display shows the current gas concentration, the selected gas and the units
of measurement. The green LED is lit.
2. Check date and time.
Settings can be made during the warm-up period. The warm-up period depends
on the sensor and environment conditions.
3. If necessary, calibrate the instrument.
Obey the safety statements mentioned in 2.5 Commissioning!
