6.3.7 Transfer from Normal Mode to Internal
Maintenance
Bypass
To
transfer
the load to
maintenance
b
ypass:
1. On the UPS
System
Control
screen, select
the NORMAL BYPASS
command,
then
press
the RETURN
pushbut
ton.
2.
L
oosen
the
screws
that fix the cover over the
maintenance bypass switch.
This action will signal the
UPS
to
transfer
to static
bypass.
Refer to Figure 6-2 for
switch arrangement.
3. Verify that the
LCD/LED
display
indicates
the UPS is in
Bypass
mode.
4. Close the
Maintenance Bypass
switc
h.
5. Open the
Bypass
Input and
Output switches separately
(Dual
Input).
6. Open the Neutral
switc
h.

The Neutral Switch should remain
closed unless operated
by a
service
tec
hnician
•
Maintenance Bypass operate must
be
performed
by an
authorized
Eaton
Customer
Service
Engineer

6.3.8 Transfer from Internal
Maintenance Bypass
to Normal
Mode
To
transfer
the load to Normal
mode:
1. Close the Ne utral
switch,
slide the cover plate right and
tighten
the
screws.
2. Close the Input and
Bypass
input
switc
hes.
3.
Command
the UPS to run in
Bypass mode
via the Control
panel.
4. Verify that the
LCD/LED
display
indicates
the UPS is in
Bypass
mode.
5. Close the
Output switc
h.
6. Open the
Maintenance Bypass switch,
slide the cover plate left and
tighten
the
screws.
7.
Command
the UPS to
transfer
to Normal
mode
via the control
panel.
