4.7.12 Serial communication timeout setting
That can set the time for the detection of serial communication errors. The allowable range is 0 to
500 minutes in 1-minute intervals. When the value is set to 0, the function is disabled, and the LCD
displays "DISABLE”. Section 5.2.5, "Serial communication timeout setting" in the STP pump
Instruction Manual for details of the serial communication timeout function.
4.7.13 Serial port COM1/COM2 setting
The serial port which is not equipped cannot be set. "Unsupported" is displayed.
1. Baud Rate
That can set the communication speed. Max. 56,000 bps can be set
2. Bit Length
That can set the bit number of the communication data to 7 or 8.
3. Stop Bit
That can set the stop bits number to 1 or 2.
4. Parity
That can set the “Presence” or “Absence” of parity check. In the case of “Presence,” select
even number or odd number.
5. Driver Type
When the serial port is COM1, set one of RS232, RS232/485 Single, RS485 single, RS485
Multi, or Network Option.
When the serial port is COM2, set one of RS485 Single or RS485 Multi.
The item that can be set varies according to the model of the connected pump.
6. RS485 ID
That can set the identification number in the RS485 Multi (1 to 127).
7. Terminator
That can set Enable/Disable an internal terminator.
8. Profibus ID
That can set the ID number of the Profibus communication module (optional accessory). (0 to
125)
When using the Profibus communication module, set the communication setting of the serial
port at the factory setting. (see 4.7.15)
Note: The serial port COM3 (X5 STP-LINK connector) and the COM4 (power unit X14 STP-LINK
connector) cannot be changed because of fixed values.
