1.1.1 Safety symbols
The safety symbols on the products show the areas where care and attention is
necessary.
The safety symbols that we use on the product or in the product documentation have
the following meanings:
1.2 Trained personnel
“Trained personnel” for the operation of this pump are
▪ skilled workers with knowledge in the fields of mechanics, electrical engineering
and vacuum technology and
▪ personnel specially trained for the operation of vacuum pumps.
Warning - Risk of explosion
Risk of injury or damage to equipment. Identifies a situation that could
result in an explosion.
Warning - Use protective equipment
Risk of injury. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
when performing the task.
Symbol - Protective earth
Identifies an electrical equipment earth (ground) terminal.
Warning - Hot surfaces
Risk of injury. Identifies a surface capable of inflicting burns through
contact.
Warning - Dangerous voltage
Risk of injury. Identifies possible sources of hazardous electrical shock.
