Appendix A: IR Command Set
The S1616A IR code set includes 16 ALL Channel commands as well as six Scene commands.
Additionally, each of the 256 possible individual channels has its own group of 16 commands.
ALL Channel Commands
Stereo In 1_1
Switches each output to its direct input.
Mono In 2_1
Switches each output to its “summed-mono” input. Outputs 1 & 2 are the “summed” signal of
inputs 1 & 2, outputs 3 & 4 are the “summed” signal of inputs 3 & 4, etc.
Stereo Bus A In
Switches all ODD outputs to the BUS A “left” input and all EVEN outputs to the BUS A “right”
input.
Mono Bus A In
Switches each output to the “summed” left and right inputs of Bus A.
Stereo Bus B In
Switches all ODD outputs to the BUS B “left” input and all EVEN outputs to the BUS B “right”
input.
Mono Bus B In
Switches each output to the “summed” left and right inputs of Bus B.
Volume Down
Decrements the volume of all outputs.
Volume Up
Increments the volume of all outputs.
Unmute
Unmutes all outputs.
Mute
Mutes all outputs.
Mute Toggle
Toggles all outputs between “mute” and “unmated.”
Power Off
Switches all outputs off.
Power On
Switches all outputs on and checks level for min/max turn on values.
Power Toggle
Toggles all outputs between “on” and “off.”
Link
Links stereo pairs (i.e.: 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, etc.) Allows channel pairs to be controlled together.
Example: Channels 1 & 2 are being used for a stereo zone; the Link command will force all IR
commands for either channel 1 or channel 2 to affect both channels. This holds true for all
stereo pairs, (3/4, 5/6, 7/8, etc.)
Unlink
Unlinks stereo pairs (i.e.: 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 5 & 6, etc.) Allows channel pairs to be controlled
individually.
