6.6.3.3 Vibration monitoring
The vibration monitoring system is responsible for the vibration control of the fan.
6.6.4 Connection of the system of hub sealing with gas barrier
In order to improve tightness, it is possible to optionally seal the hub with the (1/2") connection
of barrier gas.
The sealing manufacturer's data must be observed.
When working with barrier sealing, make sure that the barrier gas pressure is always higher
than the pressure generated by the fan.
In suction mode, the maximum static pressure increase
In pressure mode, the total pressure increase
If the barrier gas pressure would be equal to or lower than the pressure generated by the fan,
it would be possible for solid particles to penetrate the seal and thereby increase the wear and
failure of the seal.
The pressure or leakage of barrier gas should be constantly monitored. A significant increase
in value indicates the wear of the sealing rings.
As part
of the inspection, the hub seal must be checked to exclude damage (e.g. corrosion)
and cleaned. In the event of damage to the sealing rings (scratches, cracks, breaks), the entire
seal set is replaced.
6.7 General inspections and testing
Risk of electric shock
DANGER
It is possible to touch live components and cause fatal injuries.
Follow the documentation of the electric motor.

1 Mechanical test
A general visual inspection of the fan should be carried out and
it should be ensured that:
- there are no mechanical disturbances (e.g. the impeller does not
turn when it is moved by hand).
- all structural components (electric motor, temperature monitoring
system, vibration damping elements, etc.) are properly set and
attached.
- security devices are properly installed and are in a condition that
provides protection.
- bolted joints are properly tightened.
- the entire fan area is clean, in particular no oil and grease stains,
waste, equipment and cloth.
- all security devices are properly installed and are in a condition that
provides protection.
