Flange compensators with deflectors
Put the flange compensator carefully over the deflector and mount it between the mounting
flanges.
1. Put the flange compensator carefully over the
deflector.
2. Then place the flange compensator between the
mounting flanges.
3. Place a seal or a sealing cord under the deflector.
4. Insert the fixing bolts and screw them on. Tighten the
bolts with equal force.
The correct tightening torques of bolted connections in
chapter 11.1 "Tightening torques for fastening bolts"
must be observed“
Result:
The compensator with deflector is installed and fixed
with bolts.
6.7.4 Clutch
Clutch alignment
During transport, it is possible that the electric motor and bearings are shifted.
Before the first start
-up, check that the fan and motor shafts are coaxial and correctly
positioned. If necessary, the shafts must be aligned again.
1. Remove the clutch protection cover between the fan bearing and
the electric motor.
Angular offset (Δ Kw)
Radial offset (Δ Kr)
2. Check the alignment of the electric motor in relation to the fan
bearings using a suitable measuring instrument.
Note:
- During alignment, the angular and radial displacement of the
shaft ends should be as small as possible.
- The values of admissible displacement are included in the
table.
- The clutch is aligned in two perpendicular planes of the axes.
- Check the radial offset (Δ Kr) with a ruler.
- Check the angular offset (Δ Kw) with a feeler gauge.
It is possible to increase the accuracy of alignment using a measuring
clock or a laser device.
3. Mount the clutch guard between the fan bearings and the electric
motor.
Result:
The fan and motor shafts are checked and adjusted again if
necessary.
